Tom Braxton Pays Tribute to the Late Legendary Bassist Wayman Tisdale. International Billboard-charting saxophonist Tom Braxton has captivated audiences worldwide for over two decades, earning critical acclaim and releasing ten albums to date. His distinct, melodic sound keeps fans clapping, cheering, and on their feet, prompting Jazz Review to call him “one of smooth jazz’s most prolific saxophonists… with all the required tools to become a major force.” Braxton’s highly anticipated album, FlashBack, is set to drop in 2025. He has already released two singles, including “Hub City Jam” (2023), a lively, funky groove featuring Rick Braun, inspired by his hometown of Lubbock, TX. Produced by Blake Aaron, the track gained widespread recognition on the smooth jazz charts. For 17 years, Tom toured extensively with Wayman Tisdale as his Musical Director.
