Having met on “The Smooth Jazz Cruise” several years ago, Gerey and Ramon became close friends and vowed to someday music together… That time has come! Having had radio success on Sirius “Watercolors” with the songs “Oceano” and “Not a Cloud in the Sky”, they have found time between their busy touring schedules and the completion of their recording project, to bring their 1st live performance together as a unit to Spaghettini’s! Ramon is touring percussionist with the legendary group “Chicago”, while Gerey is the touring guitarist with Richard Elliot, Rick Braun, and Euge Groove. You’ve seen him performing as a side man with Boney James, Brian Simpson, Lindsey Webster and others. Together they will be bringing some amazing musicians and special guests to accompany them in this exciting 1st performance, featuring music from the upcoming CD, along with their radio hits and some surprises!
Ramon Yslas is no stranger to the Spaghettini stage. Ramon is an internationally known percussionist and is currently working with world famous rock band “Chicago” and recording with Paul Stanley ( KISS ) and numerous recording sessions in his studio and around the LA area. He’s appeared on: The Voice, Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards. Ramon has also, performed on the title song of the award winning show “Sex and the City”. He has also appeared on t.v. shows including: Saturday Night Live, Oprah, the Tonight show, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Good Morning America, The Today Show, CBS Morning Show and many more. Gerey Johnson has most recently been the touring guitarist with Richard Elliot, Rick Braun, and Euge Groove . He’s been on the contemporary jazz scene for years as a musician, songwriter, producer and record company executive. Gerey has toured with Boney James, the Sax Pack, Down to the Bone, George Duke, Warren Hill, Paul Taylor , Eric Darius and many of the other top names in smooth jazz. He has credits on over 85 nationally distributed records.
