Ray Fuller is excited & ready to perform LIVE at Spaghettini, the place he calls ‘Home’! You’ve heard his guitar on hits by Whitney Houston, EWF, Luther, Boney, Quincy, Duke, Marsalis & more. The veteran guitarist & musical director who has always loved music, honed his craft in decades of service with music’s top artists and producers, and was initially taught guitar at age 7, by older musicians in a jazz/rock band in his high-rise building on Chicago’s tough South Side.
After touring South Africa in 1981 and witnessing the oppression of Apartheid, he relocated to California. Ironically, 10 years later he performed at the freedom celebration of Nelson Mandela in 1991 150,000 at Wembley Stadium in London, with George Duke, Natalie Cole & Anita Baker.
In 2003, after completing 25 years of recording a staggering 500+ recordings, and touring as guitarist and director with many of music’s biggest artists at the peak of their careers, Ray realized his own true creative story had not been told and was inspired to produce his 1st CD – ‘The WEEPER’ (a nickname given by the late George Duke) and to his credit, the self-produced CD was independently released on his own Aray Artist label in 2004 and received worldwide critical acclaim and international distribution.
A professional career now spanning hundreds commercial recording projects, A. Ray Fuller, affectionately known as the ‘Weeper’, is firmly established as a world-class guitarist and artist and also an outspoken advocate for struggling artists, at-risk youths and family programs.
